My research bridges molecular and circuit-level insights into behaviour, using protein interactions at the synapse as a window into how the brain works. I combine cutting-edge mass spectrometry approaches  including native mass spectrometry, proteomics, and metabolomics – with transcriptomics, rodent behavioural assays, molecular and cell biology, and post-mortem analyses. My ultimate aim is to use this molecular-level understanding of behaviour to reframe how we think about, diagnose, and treat neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders.

Tarick is a Senior Researcher in the Department of Chemistry within the collaborative environment of the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery. His research focuses on exploring the molecular details that underly psychiatric disorders.
